Inventory Clerk - Federal Programs

Qualifications:

                Minimum of HS Diploma or equivalent

Specific Skills:

Computer data entry experience and the ability to effectively use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail, and database software (or a willingness to learn word processing and spreadsheet programs). Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; Accuracy;  at time of appointment, possession of a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in Tennessee.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.  Personal integrity; good judgement; physical condition commensurate with the duties of the position.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Maintains a perpetual inventory record of Title I material, equipment, supplies and other general stock items. The job will entail working primarily at each of the Title I school level sites.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical abilities require sufficient ambulatory ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time; to stoop, bend, and reach on an intermittent basis. Requires the ability to lift lightweight objects (under 20 pounds) on an intermittent basis. May require handling of objects that weigh up to 50 lbs.  Requires hand-arm-eye coordination and near visual acuity to inspect parts and materials and read small numbers and letters.

Terms of Employment:

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District’s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the District.
